Attorney Scott Owens joined the litigation department at Harmon in 2010, bringing with him substantial real estate experience in conveyancing, title review, condominium law and zoning and development. Scott litigates a broad variety of matters in federal and state courts throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, including creditor's rights defense, complex title issues, adversary proceedings in bankruptcy, and code enforcement and receivership actions. Prior to joining the firm, Scott served nine years on active duty in the United States Coast Guard. Scott has been an active participant with a number of real estate organizations, including the Massachusetts Conveyancers' Association/Real Estate Bar Association and the Northeast Association of Realtors. In 2009, he was awarded Affiliate of the Year and Educator of the Year honors by the Northeast Association of Realtors. Since 2005, Scott has been an adjunct professor at Bay Path College, teaching introductory law and real estate courses in the paralegal certification program.
