Anthony J. Coletti is an attorney in Harmon Law Offices, P.C.’s Litigation Department.  Anthony graduated from New England School of Law in 2005 and, prior to joining the firm, gained valuable real estate experienced in a firm that handled a high volume of real estate transactions.  Anthony joined the firm in June of 2007.  Anthony first worked in the firm’s Foreclosure Department where he oversaw the foreclosure of residential mortgages on properties throughout Massachusetts.  During that time, he reviewed foreclosure cases for legal compliance at all stages of the process, responded to FDCPA debt disputes and requests for debt validation, obtained assignments of mortgages and represented clients in eviction proceedings. 

 

In 2008, Anthony transferred to the firm’s Landlord-Tenant and Housing Litigation Department where he gained valuable experience in numerous aspects of landlord-tenant and housing law.  In that capacity, he represented mortgage lenders and servicers in a high volume of summary process cases, civil and criminal cases alleging violations of the state sanitary code and other related housing litigation.  In this role, he gained valuable experience handling extensive discovery requests and responses, contested bench trials and summary judgment motions.  Anthony has also participated in appeals and has argued before the Massachusetts Appellate Division of the District Court.  Anthony served as trial counsel in several cases that became landmark decisions in Massachusetts foreclosure law.  In 2014, the Housing Litigation Department merged with the firm’s title and condominium litigation department, giving Anthony valuable experience handling cases in these areas.  Also that year, Anthony sought and gained admission to the Rhode Island bar.

 

In his current role, Anthony is responsible for defending residential mortgage lenders and servicers from foreclosure-related litigation, receiverships and municipal code enforcement actions in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  Anthony is also responsible for initiating and overseeing judicial foreclosures.

 

Anthony is a member of the RI Bar Association, the RI District Court bench-bar committee, and has been an active participant in several bench-bar meetings held by the Massachusetts Housing Court.
